Kansas City CARE Clinic

The Kansas City CARE Clinic provides comprehensive behavioral health services for adults between ages of 18-64 who are uninsured/underinsured in the Kansas City Metropolitan area. Currently Clinic staff offer services in the following areas:

  • Psychiatry
  • Individual, Group & Family Counseling
  • Case Management
  • Substance Abuse Counseling
  • Medical Social Work
  • Social Work/Psychology/Counseling Student Training Programs
  • Support and treatment groups:
  • Men’s Support Group
  • Women’s Support Group
  • Expressive Therapy
  • Substance Abuse Support Group for individuals living with HIV

Services are free but a $10 donation is requested if possible.

  • Picture ID
  • Proof of residency (gas or electric utility bill, telephone bill, cell phone bill, rental/lease agreements, mail from state or local agencies)
  • Proof of income (recent copy of your filed tax return, or two (2) recent and consecutive pay stubs, or social security earning statement)
  • Insurance card, where applicable

Prairie Ridge Psychiatric Hospital provides acute stabilization and treatment for children ages 6-18. Often children admit to the hospital in severe psychiatric distress including suicidal thoughts, extreme aggression, anxiety or psychotic symptoms.
